Fees

If you would like to consider Paul Johnson for your mediation, please contact Paul direct or contact his clerks at Serle Court. 

You will usually be offered a fixed fee for the mediation and rates are available on request.

The mediation agreement contains the terms and conditions of Paul’s appointment. 

Standard conditions

The fee includes:

·       Pre and post mediation contact (and liaison between all parties as necessary)

·       Preparing the draft mediation agreement for approval

·       Up to four hours preparation/reading time

·       The mediation day (up to eight hours

·       Travel time to and from the mediation venue

Additional fees:

·       Travel and accommodation expenses

·       If preparation/reading time exceeds five hours, an hourly rate may be charged

·       If the mediation continues beyond 6pm, an hourly rate will be charged

Payment and cancellation:

·       Invoices are payable 3 working days in advance of the mediation

·       Additional fees are payable within 21 days of the date of the invoice for such costs being issued

·       If the mediation is cancelled within 5 days of the date reserved for the mediation, the parties shall be liable for the full fee, without prejudice to a party’s right to recover such sums from any other party it may consider to be at fault for the cancellation

·       If the mediation is cancelled between 6 to 10 days before the date reserved for the mediation, half the fees will be due and payable by each party, without prejudice to a party’s right to recover such sums from any other party it may consider to be at fault for the cancellation.
